ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Janelle! I'm a Junior Art Director & Graphic Design Manager from Arizona (specifically, I'm a level between Senior Designer and Art Director, and I manage a team of six). I recently made the move to Oregon with my husband and our two goldendoodles. We've been looking forward to living here for years, and felt it was finally the right time!
In school I earned degrees in Industrial Design and Design Management and a certificate in Game Development. I love learning new creative skills (such as pyrography) whenever I get the opportunity! I truly pride myself in being a well-rounded, flexible creative and a fast learner. Because of this, and my enjoyment of working with others (be it designers, manufacturing/ops or marketing), I worked my way up to a position of leadership at my current job and built wonderful professional relationships with many departments! I've worked nearly 10 years with SmartPractice since graduating college, and worked 3 years with Coin Advisor & Hydro Dip Store as a part time graphic & industrial designer while in school. I'm very excited to start a new career here in Oregon!
In my free time, I love hiking, cooking, watching B-movies on Rifftrax or Mystery Science Theater, and playing D&D with my friends, which I often use as an opportunity to test my creative chops as I build content to supplement our lore & gameplay (see some examples below, and throughout the website)!
